Chris and his partner Sie, did an outstanding job installing our fence. It looks amazing and they did excellent with the double gate. They also did an awesome job ensuring there were no gaps (because they wanted to make sure my little dog would be secure) when they had to attach next to the neighbors post. The grating attached over the posts also go all the way to the ground with no gaps. The gates are very lightweight but a tad wobbly but easy to open, close and lock. The drop down bar is positioned perfectly. They did an outstanding job. Excellent, excellent carpentry work. Very skilled gentleman. I would highly recommend Ashlee Fence Company. Thank you.
I’ve previously used several other Cincinnati-area fence companies with positive experiences, so when I had a project in Morrow, I chose Ashlee Fence since they’re local. Unfortunately, the experience was very poor, and I strongly recommend choosing another company for your project. Things started well. The quoting process was quick, the salesperson was friendly, and communication before the project began was clear and thorough. I was told the fence would start in mid–late July (about four weeks after signing in June). Then the problems began. I received multiple automated delay emails—frustrating, but understandable given the weather. When I was finally scheduled for the on-site walkthrough, I took time off work to be there at their request. The crew never showed. Only after I called an hour later did I learn (from a customer service rep who had no idea until she checked) that they had canceled due to equipment issues. No one called me proactively. A few days later, we finally had the walkthrough and I was told the fence work would start and be finished that week. Some materials were dropped off and a few holes dug—but then no one came back. No updates, no communication. It became clear the work was being done by a subcontractor who either never communicated or was poorly managed by Ashlee Fence. This went on for weeks. Every time I called, I spoke to the same customer service agent, who she was “stuck in the middle” and had no visibility into the job. I even asked her if I was being unreasonable for expecting updates or accountability. She said no, but all she could do was “tell her superior.” Despite repeated delays and missed commitments, I never received a service recovery call, apology, or credit—just a final invoice sent immediately after the job was done. Other issues: The crew left trash in my yard during the project (cleaned up only at the end). The quality of the install is mediocre at best—unsightly joints, large ground gaps (despite my clear request for a dog-secure fence), and awkward corners. If ground gaps cannot be addressed would have appreciated some expectation setting prior to install since I was clear about the purpose of the fence. Part of the fence that was supposed to be demolished was left standing, with no explanation. No final call before sending invoice even with all the issues. Short version: My experience with Ashlee Fence was a non-weather delays once the job started, poor communication, lack of accountability, and underwhelming workmanship. As a business owner I understand the impact of a negative review and this could have been completely avoided with a little bit of proactive follow up once issues were communicated, or a quality check prior to closing the job. Do yourself a favor—go with another fence company. NOTE: My bill is paid in full at time of posting review and all photos except the trash on ground were taken AFTER invoice was sent and job closed.
We hired Ashlee Fence Company to install 36 separate apartment patio fences and we would recommend this company to anyone. From our first phone call, to meeting the crew, and our final phone call of completion, everything was handled respectfully and professionally. We had a very positive experience! Thank you to everyone at Ashlee Fence! We truly appreciate the new look you have given our apartments! We can’t wait to start on landscaping next to show off these beautiful fences!
