Great experience with Hartford's Fencing. They replaced an old wooden fence and put up a chain link fence for us. Job was done in just a few hours! Todd and the crew were professional and did a great job. Would highly recommend them.

My Review: Hired Hartford's Fencing and Lanscaping LLC to do a wheelchair ramp for my father and daughter. The second day he rushed his workers to get done, because it was a holiday weekend. After his so-called completion of the ramp, he assured me they would be back within 7 days to put up handrails. They never came back. I continuously reached out to the company and got false promises they would return. The owner told me the job was completed and that the ramp has railings and railings and handrails are two different things. Even after sending him pictures of the warped board with a very large dangerous split in it, he kept telling me that someone would come fix it, again no one ever showed up. I inspected the ramp and found many issues, such as splitting posts (not just checking), lag bolts not flush with the wood and crooked, support boards not flush with other support boards and hanging by a single screw, screws sticking 2" out of wood with no purpose at all, warped slats and a lot that were not level. Also, the slope of the ramp is very steep. there should be a running slope of 43ft considering my deck is 43 inches off the ground. I have 34ft, which makes it a very steep fast decent and extremely hard if not impossible to get back up. I told him the ramp wasn't ADA compliant and he brushed it off. To this day there are still no handrails or base rails to keep my family safe from falling and no repairs. Unfortunately, my father did get hurt on this ramp, cutting his arm open, due to splintered wood. 2 months have passed with false promises to fix it. Only After I took to social media did he offer to make repairs again, after saying that I was being aggressive and threatening and trying to extort his company for free work. By this time, I declined as I found him to be very untrustworthy and lacking skills. He didn't care something could happen 2 months ago, so why would he now? I also can't find a license for the company. He also claims to have been in business for 7 years, but the BBB only shows 4 years. This is how he treats Veterans and the Disabled. Will NEVER recommend this company. Claiming to give a veteran his independence back by building a ramp that isn't up to code or listening to the safety concerns of your customer and continuously blowing them off is not a good way to run a business. There are so many more problems than just what is listed here. You can't try to save yourself once your reputation is on the line, with more false promises. You've proven to me that you are no way a man of your word by what you have done. GET THE WORD OUT, SO IT DOESN'T HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE.
